Server logs

When the website is accessed, the server processes the IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP method, status code, referrer, and user agent. This data is processed to operate the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are normally kept for seven days. They are retained longer only when required to investigate a concrete security incident.

Email contact

When you contact me by email, I process your sender address, message, and associated metadata to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual requests and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence. The data is deleted when the matter is complete, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Local resources

This site's locally served fonts and site assets come from it-selig.de. No data is sent to a font provider. The separately disclosed Umami tracker is loaded from stats.it-selig.de.

External links

Data reaches LinkedIn, MyLogScale, or UpdatePulse only after you follow a link to the respective external website. The destination site's privacy terms then apply.

Umami analytics

This site uses Umami analytics, self-hosted on the Hetzner server in Germany. Umami processes page views, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution and browser language. The server derives an approximate country, as well as an approximate region and city, from the request and creates a website-specific pseudonymous session ID from the website ID, IP address and user agent. The session ID rotates monthly. The IP address is used for this derivation but is not retained as a raw field in the analytics records. Umami uses no cookies, cross-site tracking or session replay. The processing serves the legitimate interest in measuring and improving the site; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Records are deleted after 12 months.

Services not used

This website uses no newsletter, user accounts, comments, or embedded third-party media.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
